Beauty is inspired by French sensibilities. How did your perspective on
beauty and aging change due to your immersion in French culture?
influence sets Sublime Beauty apart from other of US skin care lines?Kathy Heshelow (KH): Living in Paris for 16 years, I was immersed in the
philosophy of French women (and professionals like estheticians) about skin
care, beauty and aging. They put far more emphasis on skin health +
underlying issues of skin and overall health than on makeup. They also age more
gracefully and welcome age and wisdom and style (their culture is less
“youth obsessed”). Hair is not overdone, nothing is harsh, and
they have great basics (haircuts, clothing, shoes and accessories) that all
play off of great skin and personal style. It’s a holistic
approach!

French women love a good spa and spa treatment, love a nourishing mask or
facial, and know what they are putting on their skin. They eat and drink
well but balanced, and it is hard to find an overweight Frenchwoman. They see
food as a friend to be savored not an enemy (unlike in the US).

your most important discovery about skin care?
KH: Good hydration, light uplifting

help skin), and not too much makeup! Remember that changes occur in the skin
with age, and work with it not against it. One of the biggest tips is
not a direct skincare tip at all – attitude, mindset and treating your overall
body well will bring out your beauty or let it shine through!
